Accountable relationships is at the heart of community. While we believe in home groups, accountable friendships and connecting reguarly with a group of people we also don't believe we can simply "organize" that outcome for people.  As leadership we feel it is our role to create a safe place, cultivate initiative taking in people and provide a place for people to meet.  We can encourage people to find one another and connect together in accountable relationships.  Whether that means a week night, a coffee in the day, breakfast together or whatever we recognize the format is less of the issue as is the content and reguarlity of connecting and sharing life.

How do leaders emerge or get released. We believe in functional, relational, organic and grassroots leadership. In other words people begin leading or inviting is probably the best way to define it.  Leadership is not being the boss or the person who knows it all but rather the person willing to gather people together and let various gifts flow.  Whether you gather 2, 3, 5 or a dozen it doesn't much matter. What matters is that people make time to know and be known.

Secondly we try and support those taking initiative as a leadership community. We attempt to coach, bring support and training for those willing to take steps to bring others together.

If have choosen not to list the various small groups, home groups, coffee relationships, etc as that moves them from being organic and fluid as they would like to be.

Either invite others to join you or ask to join others... those are the two ways in.
